Dr Wade completed his medical degree in 2010 at Griffith University on the Gold Coast. Prior to this, he completed a Bachelor of Science in 2004 focusing on evolutionary genetics, and a Bachelor of Nursing in 2007. Dr Wade spent 3 years working in Caboolture Hospital and Hervey Bay Hospital. The vast majority of this time was spent in the emergency department and in various surgical specialists. Dr Wade entered general practice in 2014.  Dr Wade completed his Master of Medicine in Skin Cancer in 2016 and was certified as a Skin Cancer Specialist by Skin Cancer college of Australasia. He also Specialises in advanced and complicated skin cancer excisions, flaps, and skin grafts with a special focus on the head and neck. He has special interests in mental health and has received training in counselling and cognitive behavioural techniques. Dr Wade spends his free time with his wife, young son, and enjoys board games, card games, woodwork and is a Brisbane Broncos fan!
